About the artists:

Joe la Jolie

Joe la Jolie is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Quebec, who has been based in Yukon for several years. She explores various forms of expression, including painting, slam poetry, music, and photography. Her visual works have been featured in numerous exhibitions across Yukon, and her choreographies using fire instruments have captivated audiences.

Mélanie Rességuier

Originally from France, Mélanie discovered bolas juggling in New Zealand in 2014, sparking her passion for fire arts. After several years of practice, she has mastered fire bolas, fire breathing, and other pyrotechnic performance techniques. Since moving to Whitehorse in 2022, she has expanded her artistic repertoire by learning stilt walking and aerial hoop with the Yukon Circus Society.
